Another site for you music DIGgers, is the aptly named Lysergic Funk catering to anyone who likes to take a trip on the music and some music on the trip! Jazz, latin, funk, jazz-funk, jazz-rock, soul, all with an acid-fused flavour. I'm currently digging JazzKraut - 'Teutonal Excursions' German experimental, jazz-rock and funk, and it's an awesome and interesting ride. As my broadband may soon end, what better way to spend your time than downloading as much great music as possible! So last night I raided Oufarkhan.blogspot and ended up with some awesome, funk and the sweetest afrobeat ever. 2 artists in particular Mombassa (Who I had a couple of tracks by on comps)absolutely rock with their jazzy, heavy take on afro, reminiscent of a heavier, jazzier Osibisa and Segun Bucknor, afro genius and the sweetest set of plaintive afro grooves going, the groovy organ afro of Gerardo Pino, the insane latin jazz-rock fusion of Irakere.....too much, currently downloading a double best of Jesus Dread! So do yourself a favour and expand your musical mind.....
