The Wheels

The Reverend scouts for the source of the Whangaehu River.

At Whangaehu lagoon, the rivers end before it hits the Tasman Sea.

Surfin' Safari??? Can I come too? The soundtrack would be awesome and one of these days, I'm gonna get one of you bloody kiwis to show me how to surf!

Unknown said...

Yes the soundtrack would, but probably not as you may expect. It's not all Dick Dale and his surf guitar, but there is Hendrix.
Ya learn to surf by getting wet...

Hah! What you expect me to expect, may not be as you expected! But sorry there would have to be some surf, at least 'Beach Boys - Smile or 'Sun Ra meets the Guitars of Dick and Dale - Batman' as you mention Hendrix, what about 'Flashing' as raw and wild a crazy surf tune from the nascent guitar god as exists? Getting wet I can do, maybe I should get a board and just throw myself at the west coast, till it delivers me back to shore in style! Thanks for your comments Merc - I wanted to leave one on your blog saying how much I like your recent work in pencil but no comments so I hope this will do!
